Granite Exporter Of Essentials + Exotics
Dark Tan Granite is a medium-grained, red-brown granite of the Precambrian period with both light and dark inclusions. There is only one quarry of Dark Tan granite and the colour and veining does not vary much but there is the choice of a lighter variety. The veining and colour varies and a small sample of Dark Tan granite may not be representative of the whole slab therefore swatch samples must be approved for large projects to ensure that the blocks are all extracted from the same quarry face for matching purposes. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite however in the area of application of the European Standard we are awaiting clarification but is most likely a Charnockite. During the polishing process a clear epoxy resin filler may be used to fill any micro fissures or tiny pitting however this does not affect the integrity of the stone, it merely provides an even smoother surface finish. Dark Tan Granite is suitable for both interior and exterior use futhermore is frost resistant and with a constant polish.
Suitable for construction projects both commercial and domestic, prefabricated countertops/worktops, vanities, tiles, backsplashes, paving, fireplaces and memorials.
Dark Tan Granite looks best with a gloss polished surface but is also available as honed, leather/satin, river-washed/antique, thermal/flamed, flamed & brushed, water-jet, bush-hammered, sandblast and sawn finish.
Test with a small sample. It is possible that a sealant can be used on Dark Tan Granite however excessive attempts at sealing it could actually create a residue film build-up.
Dark Tan granite is from our own sheet bedrock quarry near Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh, West and Eastghats, India. There is only one quarry of Dark Tan granite and the colour and veining does not vary much but there is the choice of a lighter variety.
Dark Tan granite slabs are available in standard 20mm and 30mm thickness for random slabs, cut-to-size (dimensioned) and prefabricated to the customer's specifications, 40mm thick are produced but are not usually held in stock for immediate despatch.

A hypersthene granite typical of Precambrian assemblages that contain migmatites. Charnockite is composed of orthoclase, oligoclase, quartz, and hypersthene; it also often includes the garnets almandine and pyrope, as well as biotite, magnetite, and other minerals. Two types of charnockites are distinguished: ferrohypersthene charnockite and garnet charnockite.
This is an exclusive small-sized granite quarry yielding several, selectable, grades of granite with blocks suitable for gangsaw size down to economical tile-sized and monument blocks. Extraction commenced in the very early 1990s. For commercial projects it is important to ensure that blocks are selected from the same quarry face.
Rough blocks are usually exported by Break Bulk however intermodal containerisation is available at extra cost. Finished products are packed into sea-worthy wooden crates and loaded into containers.
