A beige limestone of the Eocene period (other authorities say Jurassic) with many fossil fragments (foraminifera + echinoderma). This stone internationally may be nominated as a marble. For the US and Chinese market this is correct but in the area of application of the European Standard this stone must be nominated as limestone. There are many different grades of Crema Marfil including Commercial and First Choice using alternative names such as Crema Marfil Clasic, Crema Marfil Clasico, Crema Marfil Classico, Marfil Clasico.
