This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite. For the US and Chinese market this is correct according to ASTM C 119 resp. GB/T 17670 however in the area of application of the European Standard (EN) this stone must be nominated as syenite because the EN 12440 demands a scientific terminology for the denomination of natural stones.

| Emerald Pearl |
It has a distinct appearance, with lustrous blue crystals on a dark background. The original Emerald Pearl has gleaming blue crystals evenly spread against a very dark background colour. |
| General Usage for Emerald Pearl Granite |
It is mainly used for flooring, cladding, kitchen counters and table tops. It looks best when it is gloss polished however flamed and river washed also look superb. Available in both slabs and tiles. |
| Quarrying Area for Emerald Pearl Granite |
The Emerald Pearl is produced at Klaastad quarry approx. 10 km east of Larvik. The quarry is one of the oldest in Larvik, and was opened in 1911. The quarry has great capacity, and enables us to accept big jobs. |
