Synonyms: B. Pernice, Brecchia Pernice, Breccia Fumane, Breccia Perniche, Brecciano Pernice, Breche Pernice, Brechia Pernice
A very colourful limestone (breccia) of the Lower Jurassic period (Lias). Mostly grey-pink but also brown and red limestone fragments of very variable size in brown to red groundmass. This stone internationally may be nominated as a marble. For the US and Chinese market this is correct but in the area of application of the European Standard this stone must be nominated as limestone.
