A coarse-grained, light blue iridescent syenite (larvikite) of the Permian period. This stone internationally may be nominated as a granite. For the US and Chinese market this is correct but in the area of application of the European Standard this stone must be nominated as syenite. The deeper the blue, the higher the price. There are about 30 working quarries.
